I agree with your sentiment last night. It is a shame that so many galleries only feature contemporary artists. I don't really get it. I'm just not as impressed with that style of art. Give me a beautifully detailed landscape or portrait and then I get excited.

I enjoyed your demonstration on Monday night very much. I agree that drawing is key to being a good artist. I am the business administrator for a church and private Christian school here in town and I am considering starting an after school drawing club for students who want to learn to draw better. I planned on using the website Drawspace.com as the format and just work through the lessons with the kids. I thought you might have some suggestions since you have vast experience teaching young students.

Thanks again for your passion to the fine arts. I so loved to hear your comparison of fine arts and contemporary art...
