About Me
Harriet began her love affair with wildlife photography on her first African Safari in 1995 having only a small film camera. Years later, in addition to many trips to the African Bush, Harriet’s journeys have taken her close to the Artic Circle, Europe, Australia and remote regions of Western Canada.
Harriet also decided she wanted the experience of close-up marine life. After passing several levels of scuba diving certifications, she since has photographed sea life in such exotic locales as Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, several South Pacific islands and the Cocos Islands off South America.
Desiring to give back some of the blessings of her life, Harriet created FOR THE LOVE OF AFRICA to share picture sale proceeds with the Simonga Village School in Livingstone, Zambia. Always the artist-perfectionist, Harriet spent her career in the floral industry with such clients as the Academy Awards and Paramount Pictures. Harriet exclusively uses Nikon cameras and lenses.
