About Me
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I come from a hyper creative, imaginative family. But that's a long story. I lived in various places when I was a kid, which shaped my imagination and my art throughout my existence. From the East Coast to the West Coast and across the globe and my favorite place, Oaxaca, all had left a huge impression on my soul. From the architecture to history, culture and especially people and food, all of this made my mind wander to places I could finally make real with the help of my hands. I got lucky when I was a teenager and got my foot in the door at an entertainment corporation and worked my way up. I had various jobs in the entertainment industry from working in a darkroom, to production, post production, advertising, but the most exciting thing was getting to work doing special FX. After hopping from job to job and meeting so many people, I landed a job working for multi-Academy Award Winner Stan Winston. Needless to say, coolest job in the world where I had the fortune of working with Tim Burton on Edward Scissorhands and various other projects. After seeing the sets I knew that this is what I wanted to do. Not work in the entertainment industry, but, to be a creative artist. And that's where my dabbling began. "If those guys could do it, so could I". After that, I had many more jobs in the FX industry. It was a hard job which made me not want to do it anymore because of the hours and having to work for other people who needed everything, "yesterday". So instead, I became a massage therapist. That's a whole other world which helped me a lot in regards to sculpture work, another long story, which is too long to get into. After I started my schooling in massage therapy, I joined a Japanese ceramics group in West Hollywood when I was 25 which changed my life. Little did I know that I'd stay there for 8 years and towards the end, meet my future husband. After I met him, the Japanese ceramics place closed and I found myself getting married and moving to Las Vegas where my husband resided and started a family. I've been living here for 8 years now and am just now starting to fit in. This is just a short version of the entire story... Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text.
