Amber
Albanese pencil, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, clay, oil and some watercolor A resident of Las Vegas on and off since I was six years old I am mostly self taught. My favorite art teacher was my high school teacher in Oregon. He was great at throwing all kinds of mediums at us from sculpting to glass etching and everything in between. I later studied at the Lesnick Art School and under Colin Pringle for a short time. After High School art took a back seat to dancing, then children, then work. Finally I took a few classes from a portrait artist at the Dunes Hotel and began the job three weeks later. It was definately on the job training. Portraits have always been my favorite thing to paint in all mediums. After being diagnosed with a rare lung disease I have had to limit the mediums I can use and now I am interested in watercolor. My least studied medium, but the most breather freindly. I'm ready to try something new!! Everything I am showing now is done in Pastel. Most my work is done to order or for charity. I have only one painting up for sale and I will add it as soon as I can. I am pleased to be a member of the Artist Guild and hope it motivates me to delve back into my art work and less into house work!!! I feel I am ready to bust out of my cocoon and become a beautiful butterfly. Hope to meet everyone as soon as my work allows. email: a1karat@msn.com
