Lori Ehlke became interested in art around 7 or 8. She is mostly self-taught except for a semester of art education in Florence, Italy. Lori is inspired by the places she's traveled as well as the things around her. Her favorite subjects are landscapes, plants, and sometimes animals. She loves experimenting with different painting mediums, mostly doing ink and watercolor, acrylics and some oils. She has also had many opportunities to paint murals, mostly for educational purposes. Lori studied education and is currently teaching art in the Southwest Las Vegas area.
