Ruth Lastuvka started her art degree in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She had a Ceramic studio for years and continues to teach. She also has produced a line of hand painted silk clothing and batiks. Currently she is exploring the subject of paleolithic cave paintings. Her pursuit of primitive art has taken her all over the world.

"I love texture and I can feel those ancient peoples' spirits and I am drawn in to share their experience. I was fortunate to explore one of the caves in France while on a horseback riding trip. The cave paintings are from the 16,000 to 30,000 year old caves of Altamira, Chauvet and Lasccaux. The paintings are handed down to us from our ancestors."
